Variation on triquetra and the change in meaning.?
I am looking to get a tattoo of a triquetra placed on my body and the common design isn't what I desire which is quite easy to find meanings for. I was simply wondering if two interlaces triquetra changed the meaning of the symbol at all, I would think it would. I know tattoos have a specific meaning to whom ever puts the image on the body but I would like to know exactly what it would mean to others.

A symbol means whatever it means to the person using it. The Celtic trinity knot has been said to represent the interconnectedness of body, mind and spirit (the self). Wiccans may say it's representative of the triple goddess (and the three stages of womanhood) of Maiden, Mother, and Crone. Christians might say it's representative of the trinity of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
This particular pendant I might view the outer triple knot to be representative of the triple goddess and the inner one to be representative of me (from a Wiccan perspective).
Basically, we don't know what these particular knotwork forms meant to those who originally created them, so you are going to have to find your own meaning in them.
